The Troop Meeting of Thursday, September 28th, 2017.

Hello, this email is for people who were not able to attend this evening's meeting. But if you did attend, you can still read this. There is no mace-wielding troll to stop you.

Due to the hurrication that was followed by hurricane Irma, the school decided to take back all of the teacher work days in the next few months. Since the Hillsborough River State Park campout was scheduled with the teacher work day, that will be canceled. A campout within a two hour driving distance may be in place of Hillsborough on that weekend but the campout has not been decided yet. If this campout does happen, it will be October 13-15.

Popcorn season has started(although I'm not sure why I called it a season if it is only a month)! We have chocolate popcorn, we have caramel popcorn, we have excessively buttered popcorn! See Mrs. Thompson's email for the link to sign up genie to sign up for popcorn selling shifts.

We were visited by the Korean War Veterans this evening. They told their stories about the war and answered questions. The Korean War is referred to as the forgotten war and is almost never referred to in school curriculums. They are trying to spread information about the forgotten war and make sure that history does not forget it.

That is all for now, but remember the forgotten...
